From a young age, Adam R. Long wanted to be a lawyer. His aunt gave Long the opportunity as a child to sit in on a murder trial she was prosecuting. He found the experience of learning about the justice system at a young age unbelievably exciting. As an adult, Long reflects on his profession and finds interpreting the law easy — the most rewarding and challenging part is developing relationships with his clients.

If Long was to share wisdom with others, he would advise that perspective is a gift, and “tough times always seem less tough when we think about the challenges others face.” He enjoys keeping a scorebook at a baseball game, which others are often surprised to learn — whether it be one of his kids’ games or a professional game, Long enjoys how the story of an entire baseball game can be told with annotations on a single page.
