The University of Toledo College of Law has named Benjamin Barros, associate dean of academic affairs at Widener Law in Harrisburg, as its new dean.

The move is pending the approval of the Ohio law school’s board of directors.

Barros taught property law at Widener and is the founding editor of Journal of Law, Property, and Society.

He had been at Widener’s Susquehanna Township campus since 2004, moving from associate professor to professor of law in 2013 and working as associate dean since 2011.

He had previously taught as an adjunct associate professor at Fordham University School of Law while working at the Latham & Watkins LLP law firm in New York City.
