A big jump in revenue growth vaulted Lancaster-based accounting firm Reinsel Kuntz Lesher LLP 11 spots up the chart of the biggest accounting firms in the country.
The firm reported a 21.8 percent growth in revenue from 2012 to 2013, according to the list compiled by Inside Public Accounting Magazine. It finished the year at $45.2 million, according to the magazine.
That was enough to help it jump from the 84th-ranked accounting firm in the country to 73rd. It is the only accounting firm based in the midstate to make the list.
However, a number of national and regional firms with heavy midstate presence made the list. Deloitte LLP remains at No. 1, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP stayed at No. 2 and KPMG LLP stayed at No. 4. All have offices in the Harrisburg area.
BDO USA LLP stayed at No. 7 after moving into the Harrisburg market in 2013.
Philadelphia-based ParenteBeard LLC -- with offices in Lancaster, Hanover and York -- dropped a spot to 23, and was the only company in the top 25 that reported a revenue loss. It reported a loss of $6.1 million.
The company currently is engaged in merger talks Baker Tilly Virchow Krause LLP of Chicago.
