Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., the Michigan-based manufacturer of automotive products, including Wagner brake components, ANCO wiper blades and Champion spark plugs, plans to move into the First Logistics Center @ I-83 in Manchester Township, company officials confirmed today.

“It will be a major full product line distribution center which will improve coverage and service to the East Coast of premium branded products such as our Wagner brake components, Moog steering and suspension and Champion branded parts, to name a few,” said Paula Silver, a company spokeswoman.

Chicago-based First Industrial Realty Trust Inc. in May announced that it had leased its $34 million center, which spans 708,000 square feet off Interstate 83, 1.2 miles from Exit 24. Officials would only say it was with a leading multinational corporation, with a long-term lease starting Sept. 15.

Township officials said a permit application for tenant fit-out was submitted Friday. First Industrial built the York County industrial property on speculation.

Federal-Mogul will occupy the entire building. Shares of the company, which had nearly $6.8 billion in net sales last year, are traded on the NASDAQ under the ticker symbol FDML.
