The owners of the historic Cornwall Inn and Suites in Lebanon County recently completed 11 months of renovations.
Richelle Arnold, who owns the building and business with her husband, Andrew, said they bought the building last August and immediately started renovations that weren’t complete until July. The business celebrated with a grand opening and unveiling Wednesday.
The renovations included handicapped accessibility throughout the property, an expansion of the ballroom from a capacity of 40 to a capacity of 100 and a permanent pad on the ground under its outdoor tent.
The inn, which has four rooms for overnight stays, was open during the renovations. It specializes as a wedding and event venue. The couple also owns the Blue Bird Inn in Cornwall.
“We do outdoor catering, but we wanted to have a business where we could supply the venue as well,” Richelle Arnold said.
She said she didn’t know the exact cost of the renovations but said it was “a lot.”
The inn was built by Robert Coleman around the time of the American Revolution. Coleman was an owner of Cornwall Iron Furnace.
