The former president of national telecommunications company Vonage is now the new leader of United Fiber and Data LLC.

The York-based telecommunications firm named Michael Tribolet as acting CEO and also named Brian Mass as its acting chief financial officer and Charles Gaspari as its business development adviser. The team joins Chris Lodge, the company’s chief operating officer.

“I’m an executive who prides myself on working with companies that disrupt the status quo and break new ground,” Tribolet said in a news release. “During my tenure at Vonage, we made the telecommunications industry rethink their entire game plan. My job is to harness the hard work of the founders and couple it with my team’s industry intelligence to create and deliver on our objectives.”

United Fiber and Data LLC was founded in 2009 and is a private entity owned by investment group Think Loud Development LLC. Think Loud is an ownership group that includes members of the band Live, natives to York.

In July, Think Loud received a $5 million state grant to help build and renovate a 54,000-square-foot office building and data center in York. It plans to break ground on the project later this year. It is proposed to bring 700 jobs and $2 billion in economic impact to the city.

In addition to the York project, United Fiber recently has begun construction of a 13-mile metro fiber ring in Lower Manhattan interconnecting some of New York City’s largest hotel carriers.
