By ,

East Pennsboro Township-based Gannett Fleming announced it has acquired Innovative Engineering Inc. of York.

The company, doing business as IETC, is an electrical design-build contractor with 24 employees. In a news release, Gannett Fleming officials said there will be no “immediate” changes in project management or technical staff.

William N. Luddy, president and founder of IETC, remains president of the company that services industrial, government, commercial, religious and institutional clients in the Mid-Atlantic.

“Joining forces with IETC expands our ability to meet the ever-increasing demand for single-source contracting,” said Robert M. Scaer, vice chairman of the board and senior vice president of Gannett Fleming Affiliates Inc. “Together we are well-positioned to offer clients a full suite of electrical engineering, procurement, and construction services for turnkey projects.”

Gannett Fleming is a 2,000-employee planning, design, technology and construction management services company with 60 offices globally.

It reported $313 million in revenue in 2013.
