A new consulting firm of familiar midstate names has opened in the Harrisburg area.
Lokuta, Friel, Parker and Bechtel LLC is a consulting and government relations services group that will offer its services to human services providers, providers associations, vendors, and other health care and human services groups.
Fred Lokuta recently ended his 30-year career at the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare, where he retired as the deputy secretary for the Office of Developmental Programs. Kevin Friel was with the department for 15 years, where he also worked as the deputy secretary for the office. Before joining the new firm, he had been chief financial officer for Passavant Development Corp. in the Pittsburgh area.
Bill Parker has been a 15-year lobbyist and was mayor of Paxtang from 2000 to 2004. He also founded the Center for Autism and Developmental Delays Center for Excellence. Jeff Becthel spent 14 years at the Department of Public Welfare and was the director of three different offices. He has been working for a national Medicaid consulting firm since leaving the department.
The firm’s office is in Lower Paxton Township.
