Carlisle Borough Council recently approved revisions to the borough's commercial facade program offered through the Redevelopment Authority, including changing the name to Carlisle Streetview.

The program offers grants up to $12,000, with the applicant required to provide a minimum 25 percent cash match. The eligible area includes the historic district; properties listed on the National Register of Historic Places, or eligible for listing; and property included on the Cumberland County historic sites inventory.

The goal of the program, which has been active for many years, is to “create and maintain a pleasant and attractive downtown commercial district by assisting owners maintain building façades,” according to program guidelines.

For more information, contact Rebecca Yearick, downtown program services manager, at 717-249-0789, ext. 117, or via email at ryearick@cchra.com.
