Highpoint Arcona now under construction in Cumberland County
The massive Highpoint Arcona development in Lower Allen Township officially started site-work construction this week, with the developer starting construction on homes in mid-summer.
Officials from Charter Homes and Neighborhoods in Lancaster, the project developer, said the first phase includes 49 townhouses and single-family homes, and should be complete by the end of the year.
That makes the development at Rossmoyne and Lisburn roads ready for sale, and the company will start by holding the development’s first public open house at 10 a.m. June 14.
At the open house, the company will announce the full project timeline, the available home sites and the grand opening schedule for the neighborhood, which will contain 1,664 homes and 234,500 square feet of commercial and mixed-used space at full build-out. There also are 97 acres of open space contained in the 248-acre project.
The event will be held at the development’s home store on Arcona Road off Lisburn Road in the township.
“Spring/summer is always a good time to sell homes, and we’re looking forward to getting construction started so that the neighborhood really looks like a neighborhood for the first homeowners before the end of the year and winter time settles in,” said Lauren Spamer, vice president of sales and marketing for Charter Homes.
