Swatara Township-based Drayer Physical Therapy Institute recently opened one new location in Mississippi and moved another in Pennsylvania

The Petal, Miss., outpatient center is the company's 10th in the state, according to a news release. It specializes in occupational therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, hand therapy, pre- and post-operative rehabilitation, spinal rehabilitation, geriatrics, sports rehabilitation, functional capacity evaluations, TMJ rehabilitation and work-injury rehabilitation.

Drayer moved its center in Wexford, Allegheny County, from 1013 Wexford Plaza Drive, where it had been since 2007, to 100 Bradford Road, Suite 210, across from Atria’s on Route 19 in the Stonewood Commons building.

That center specializes in sports medicine, pre- and post- operative rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, orthotics, athletic training, spine rehabilitation, manual therapy and arthritis. The center also specializes in gymnastics rehabilitation and offers this specialty on site to several local gymnastics clubs.

Drayer has more than 100 locations on the East Coast, with concentrations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and Alabama.

According to the company's website, Drayer is developing a new philanthropic endeavor dubbed Operation Rehabilitation that it plans to launch in 2015, in addition to its existing local community involvement and support for two charitable organizations in Haiti and Jamaica.

Drayer says Operation Rehabilitation will focus on increasing awareness of the healing, recovery and rehabilitative needs of wounded service members by providing rehabilitative services, equipment and support.
