York Traditions Bank will hold a groundbreaking for its first branch outside of the immediate York area Monday when it starts construction on its Hanover branch.

The new location, at 361 Eisenhower Drive, is expected to open in October.

“Other banks in the market have closed branches,” York Traditions President and CEO Mike Kochenour said. “But in our research, we saw Hanover as a viable and growing market, and York Traditions Bank wants to be a partner in the Hanover community.”

The 3,200-square-foot branch will feature two drive-thru lanes with a drive-up ATM lane and a full complement of financial services.

Currently, there is a former kiosk branch of M&T Bank at the site. The building will be demolished by Conewago Enterprises Inc.

Mike Kelly, a long-time Hanover resident who joined York Traditions in April, will be the Hanover market executive, according to a news release from the bank.

The new branch will be the bank’s fifth.
