Kinsley to build spice-maker Fuchs headquarters project

By

A York-based construction company will be designing and building a new headquarters for a global spice and seasoning company in Maryland.

Kinsley Construction was tapped for construction management for the Fuchs North America complex, to be built on 21 acres near Hampstead, Md.

The 200,000-square-foot facility will include office, warehouse and manufacturing space for the preparation of seasoning blends and spices, according to a news release from Kinsley. The new headquarters will replace Fuchs’ facility down the road in Reisterstown, Md.

Design of the new facility is expected to be complete by September, with construction starting immediately after. Completion is planned for September 2015.

Since 1990, Fuchs North America has been part of the worldwide Fuchs Group, the largest privately held spice and seasoning company in the industry, according to the release. The Fuchs Group serves food manufacturing, food service, and retail segments backed by secure sourcing, plus state-of-the-art production facilities on four continents.

Kinsley is a family-owned business with offices in York, Reading and Baltimore that provides preconstruction, construction management, general contracting and design-build services throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
