Gregory Hess held for trial in murder-for-hire plot
Gregory Hess, the York County businessman accused in a plot to hire someone to kill a friend of his wife, will be held over for trial after a Friday morning preliminary hearing.
Kyle King, administrator in the York County District Attorney’s office, confirmed Hess will continue to be held in York County Prison without bail.
Hess, 46, is charged with solicitation of criminal homicide after police said he approached and paid someone to murder a man who was an acquaintance of his wife, though investigators haven’t divulged the nature of the relationship.
Hess is the president of Keystone Restorations & Builders Inc. in Manchester Township and started the company in 2004, according to its website.
It is a restoration contractor for residential and commercial sites.
