American Signature Inc. and Souriau USA will lay off workers at their York locations this year, according to notices filed with the state Department of Labor and Industry.
American Signatures, which has a warehouse at 325 South Salem Church Road, will lose 91 employees between June 6 and June 13. The notice does not indicate how many total employees work at the site or if the warehouse will be closed permanently.
Souriau, which designs and manufactures grounding modules for the aerospace market -- as well as industrial products and cable assemblies -- at 25 Grumbacher Road, will lay off 53 employees by Dec. 31. The notice indicates the location will be closed permanently.
American Signatures is based in Columbus, Ohio, and is the parent company of American Signatures Furniture and Value City Furniture. A phone call to the York location was referred to the corporate headquarters. A message left there was not immediately returned.
Souriau is based in Versailles, France, and specializes in "development and production of interconnect solutions for harsh environments" in aerospace, space and defense and heavy industries, according to the company's corporate website. A phone message left at the York location and an email to the corporate headquarters were not immediately returned.
