The George M. Leader Corp., which is headquartered in Dauphin County, has added a fifth member to its roster of senior-living communities operated under the Providence Place Senior Living brand.

The former Waterbridge Personal Care Residence at 24 Hikes Hollow Road in Pine Grove, Schuylkill County, is now called Providence Place of Pine Grove.

According to a news release, the 66-unit community is home to about 45 seniors, and plans are currently underway to renovate the interior space. Most current employees will continue to work for Providence Place, and a grand reopening of the building is expected later this spring.

Providence Place President and CEO David Leader described the acquisition as "part of the company's overall growth strategy" and noted that its other Schuylkill County community, Providence Place of Pottsville, just underwent a major expansion project to meet growing demand.

Other details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
