VectorUSA moves from Harrisburg to Lancaster County
VectorUSA, a full-service network integration company. has moved from its downtown Harrisburg location to East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County, thanks to heavy national growth.
The local growth isn't there yet, according to Mark Langley, the company's regional sales manager based in Lancaster County, but the move into an office he believes is more in line with the company's needs could bring that.
"It's more of an issue of the environment we were looking for than (local) growth," he said of the move.
While the Harrisburg location provided heavy foot traffic, he said, VectorUSA is more of a business-to-business company whose offices normally have a more open floor plan than the Harrisburg location provided. Langley said the lease on the 2,500-square-foot Strawberry Square office ended March 31.
The company couldn't find new office space that suited its needs in the Harrisburg area, Langley said. When company officials noticed most of the interest from local clients had come from the Lancaster area, they expanded the search there. The company moved into the region in 2012.
The new location also provides space for a 2,700-square-foot warehouse, something the company had been seeking.
The local office has four employees, and VectorUSA has 450 employees, Langley said.
The Torrance, Calif.-based company also said it opened a new office in Pleasanton, Calif., and purchased a building to expand in the Phoenix area.
VectorUSA changed its name from Vector Resources Inc. in the fall.
