Millersville University to offer graduate programs in Philadelphia

By

Starting this fall, Millersville University will offer some graduate programs at the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education's Center City facility in downtown Philadelphia.

According to Victor DeSantis, dean of the College of Graduate and Professional Studies at Millersville, the offerings are a result of PASSHE’s launch of an initiative to better serve students in the Philadelphia area.

“The initiative included finding a suitable location in downtown Philadelphia and inviting PASSHE universities to start offering degree programs and classes at the new site in Center City,” DeSantis says. “This is a wonderful collaborative project between the state system, Millersville, Cheyney, West Chester and East Stroudsburg universities.”

As plans currently stand, a MU sport management program will begin this fall at Center City, followed by a language and literacy English as a Second Language program in spring 2014 and a technology and innovation program in summer 2015.
