After nearly 35 years, the reins of The Sherwood Inn in New Salem, York County, have changed hands.

Longtime owners Bob and Tanya Brunner sold the restaurant at 305 N. Main St. to Shawn Miller for $437,500 on March 14, according to a news release from Rock Commercial Real Estate LLC.

Rock managing partner David Bode and brokerage adviser Dylan Bauer assisted with the transaction, which included the real estate, business and liquor license.

Miller is a former FedEx Driver who dreamed of owning a bar/tavern with a reputation for good food and great people, according to the news release. The Sherwood is open for lunch, dinner and drinks and is known for its steaks, burgers, fries and cream of crab soup, according to Rock.
