Harrisburg-based Alexander Building Construction Co. has completed a $7 million sports facility for Dickinson College in Carlisle.

The facility, which kicked off last spring, has been named the Durden Athletic Training Center in honor of former school president William Durden and his wife, Dr. Elke Durden. It is next to Biddle Field and will serve as a training facility for the school’s football, lacrosse and field hockey teams.

Features of the training facility:

• Locker rooms for athletes, coaches, officials and visiting teams

• Strength-training and free-weight room

• Sports medicine facilities

• Laundry and equipment room

• Meeting/event room on the upper level with an outdoor patio overlooking Biddle Field

• Exhibition area to honor Dickinson athletics

Alexander is part of Allentown-based Butz Enterprises Inc.
