Pettersen and her husband purchased their first McDonald's restaurant in Shippensburg in 1979. At the time, she was planning to be minimally involved in the business and focus instead on raising her children, but that quickly changed. She is now owner/operator of McDonald's in Dillsburg, co-owner/operator of McDonald's on Memory Lane in York, and president of the McDonald's Central PA Co-op -- a position she was among the first women nationwide to hold.
Pettersen helped to form McDonald's national Women Operators Network and was a founding member of the Ronald McDonald Children's Charities of Central PA. She has a daughter who has become an owner/operator of her own McDonald's restaurant.
Lando has more than 20 years of marketing experience and returned to her hometown -- York -- to found Moxie Design & Marketing in 2008. The full-service strategic communication, advertising and marketing firm has secured work from national, regional and local accounts.
Bankos started her insurance career with Reliance Insurance Company, then went to the agency side of the business with Stein Insurance Agency. Today, she is president and owner of Collens-Wagner Insurance Agency.
Married with two daughters, Bankos is a member of York East Rotary, the advisory board of the Salvation Army, Girl Scouts in the Heart of Pa. committees, and the board of Insurance Women of York.
Martino-Miller is CEO of Crispus Attucks YouthBuild Charter School, a position she has held for five years. She has worked with the Crispus Attucks Association for 34 years in all, in roles including teacher and supervisor in the day care program, youth education director in The Youth Against Drugs Program and later the Rising STARS Youth and Family Education Program.
Married and a grandmother, Martino-Miller is a mentor and for years has served as multicultural affairs adviser for York College.
Savage, a registered respiratory therapist with more than 25 years of experience in acute care, became director of quality and risk management for HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of York in May 2013.
She lives in Lancaster with her family.
Appleby began her career at Mid-Atlantic Corporate Federal Credit Union in the marketing department in 1995 and progressed to directing human resources in 1999.
Today, she is its senior vice president of human resources, responsible for the overall human resources strategy and functions for the employees of Mid-Atlantic Corporate and its family of companies.
