M&T becomes third local bank to make leadership changes
Another large bank is reworking its local leadership.
M&T Bank announced this week it has appointed Stephen A. Foreman as president of the central and western Pennsylvania regions.
The region covers the Harrisburg, Chambersburg, Altoona and Pittsburgh areas.
Foreman currently works in the bank’s Altoona office but will relocate to Harrisburg, according to bank spokesman Philip Hosmer.
It’s the third such leadership change this year at a bank with a major stake in the region. On Tuesday, Susquehanna Bank announced new leaders for its Central Pennsylvania and Northeast Pennsylvania regions, both of which include portions of the midstate.
In February, Wells Fargo announced a new regional manager for its Central Pennsylvania market, which includes 47 branches.
Michael S. Murchie, who previously held the local position for M&T, has been promoted to a Baltimore-based position managing M&T’s specialty lending businesses, Hosmer said.
