A free small-business growth seminar series is coming to the midstate.

Metro Bank, the U.S. Small Business Administration and Greater Harrisburg Area SCORE have started a partnership that will bring the four-part series to the Harrisburg area starting March 18.

The series will be hosted by Metro Bank at its headquarters at 3801 Paxton St. in Lower Swatara Township. Each presentation will begin at 6 p.m., with a networking session starting at 5:30 p.m. and a question-and-answer session following the seminar presentation.

Here are the seminar topics and dates:

March 18: “From Credit to Close”: Build greater understanding of the loan application and approval process.

April 1: “Simple Steps for Growing Your Business”: Learn how to assess a business, set achievable goals and plan for growth.

April 15: “Exporting Basics”: Develop an effective exporting strategy and learn how to reach and make connections in international markets.

April 29: “Intro to Government Procurement”: Discover how to find federal and state contract opportunities and the certifications that can help win them.

Officials from the partnership and from the Kutztown University Small Business Development Center will present at the seminar.
