Flagger Force president to speak at York College
The president and co-owner of Flagger Force Traffic Control Services, which has offices in Hummelstown and Middletown, will speak at York College next month as part of the second annual Henry D. Schmidt Lecture in Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Michele Doner, who started Flagger Force in 2002 with her husband, will give the talk, “Speeding Up Safely in the Temporary Traffic Control Industry,” at 11 a.m., April 8, in Weinstock Auditorium, Willman Business Center. The talk is hosted by the Women’s Business Center Organization, an initiative of the J.D. Brown Center for Entrepreneurship.
Doner will share what strategies have worked when “business growth took off at 100 miles per hour over the last seven years.” She’ll also touch on successful hiring practices and the company’s motto — “Safety-Driven” — and how it guides all decisions, from the road to the boardroom.
While free, registration is required at www.wbcoyork.org by April 4. Event sponsors are SF&Co. and The Yorktowne Hotel.
