Will you be moving this year?

By ,

As I talk to homeowners and small businesspeople, I find myself asking the question; “So are you thinking about making a move this year?”

With a lot of the buzz saying that this will be the first full year post-housing crisis, I’m curious about how much that sentiment has “trickled down” to the folks on the front lines.

The perennial debate over buying and renting is raging as always. For locals, renting for another season seems to be a popular option. Over on the commercial front, I’m not hearing or reading about the same enthusiasm for big purchase/renovation projects from recent months

More interestingly, I’ve spoken to several people who are actually making plans to leave the midstate for other areas this spring. Hopefully that doesn’t develop into a trend this year.

A few years ago, I wrote in this space about owners making the choice to stay rather than go – remodeling their current property and avoiding the costs of a move or even a refinance. I’m curious whether you’re hearing stories like this, or if people in your sphere are planning to make the move this year. I’d love to read your comments below.
