Glatfelter ups quarterly dividend

By

York-based paper maker Glatfelter announced its board of directors would be increasing its quarterly dividend by 10 percent.

Shareholders of record as of the close of business on April 3 will receive the 11-cent dividend May 1, the company reported in a news release.

"Today's action reflects Glatfelter's solid financial position and expectations for the continued generation of strong and sustainable free cash flow," Dante C. Parrini, chairman and chief executive officer, said in the release. "This increase in our dividend, the second in the past 12 months, further demonstrates our commitment to maintaining a competitive dividend and returning value to our shareholders."

Celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, Glatfelter shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol GLT.
