Wells Fargo and Co. said Tuesday it has a new president for its six midstate counties.
Lauren Tobiassen is the new community bank area president for the company's Central Pennsylvania market that includes 47 community banking locations, two specialty stores and 450 employees.
The region consists of Berks, Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York counties and handles $2.8 billion in deposits, according to the company. She will be responsible for retail banking in the market and she started the position Feb. 19.
Before heading up the midstate market, she served as a community bank district manager in Denver, and in her 25 years with Wells Fargo, she worked in a variety of leadership roles with the company in the southern California area.
Tobiassen graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a B.A. in economics and received her MBA in marketing from the University of Southern California.
San Francisco-based Wells Fargo has 9,000 locations across the country and manages $1.5 trillion in assets, according to the company. It is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol WFC.
