York County's Graham Packaging to lay off 55

Graham Packaging Co. L.P. plans to lay off 55 people in the coming months, according to a notice filed with the state Department of Labor and Industry.

In its WARN noitce, the company told the state the affected employees work at the company’s facility at 420 Emig Road, Manchester Township. Graham Packaging has its headquarters at 2401 Pleasant Valley Road in Springettsbury Township,

The WARN website indicates layoffs will be effective March 24, May 30 and July 15.

Phone messages and an email to Graham’s headquarters were not returned this morning.

Graham is an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of New Zealand-based Reynolds Group Holdings Ltd., which acquired Graham in 2011.
