Frontier Airlines today announced it will add nonstop seasonal service between Chicago and Harrisburg, effective June 13.
To kick off the new service, Frontier is offering introductory fares as low as $49 each way on flights booked by Wednesday, the airline said in a news release.
"We are excited to offer a new Frontier destination for residents in the Harrisburg area," said Daniel Shurz, Frontier's senior vice president, commercial. "Travelers will enjoy our ultra-low fares and have more options as they book their summer travel."
The $49 fares are one way for domestic travel June 13 through Aug. 10. Roundtrip purchase is not required. Fares are valid from origin to destination only. Seats are limited, and certain flights and/or days of travel may be unavailable, the release states.
"This region is thrilled about Frontier's new high quality, affordable nonstop service to Chicago's Midway International Airport starting June 13th," said Timothy J. Edwards, executive director of Harrisburg International Airport.
"Over the past two years, more than 120,000 travelers to Denver and Orlando have saved money, distance and time by choosing Frontier Airlines at Harrisburg," he said. "Now driving out of state to fly to Chicago's Midway Airport will no longer be necessary."
