Lanark Records, an independent label based in Manheim Township that specializes in pure rock 'n' roll, rockabilly and roots music, has named David Uosikkinen its general manager.
One of Uosikkinen’s goals is to bring more artists to the Lanark label, according to a news release.
“I’m looking forward to getting back into the label side of things,” he said. “I’m excited to have a hand in resurrecting older artists and launching new ones.”
Chairman and CEO Frank Barrett and President Quentin Jones founded Lanark Records in August 2012 and last year released albums by The Rockats, Gas House Gorillas and The Reach Around Rodeo Clowns.
“The music industry has changed tremendously in the last 20 years,” Barrett said. “We want to expand the breadth of the label and David’s experience as both an artist and a label executive, brings a lot of value to the table.”
“David brings his love of technology and interactive marketing to the label,” Jones said. “His network of contacts includes some of the brightest in the technology sector.”
