Pittsburgh-based Highmark laid off 43 employees in its Camp Hill office today as part of a 120-person companywide restructuring, according to spokesman Aaron Billger.

The layoffs were predominantly in the IT department, Billger said, and Highmark expects to hire for 96 positions in the coming months. The restructuring is part of the company’s adaption to the changing health care environment, he said, and the goal is to align the right resources to increase efficiencies and streamline operations.

All of the displaced employees got severance packages, Billger said.
