Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. has announced a number of executive promotions, including a new bank chairman.

Andrew Samuel, already Susquehanna Bank’s president and CEO, has now been named the bank’s chairman. He also already was the president of Susquehanna Bancshares.

Two senior vice presidents got the bump to executive vice president. Beverly A. Wise, the company’s chief human resources office, and Carl D. Lundblad, chief legal and administrative officer, both received the new title.

The retirement of Drew K. Hostetter as chief financial officer in 2013 left an open spot in the executive ranks, and the company filled it by naming Michael W. Harrington into the position. Harrington is an executive vice president and the company’s treasurer.

Christopher D. Holt moves into the chief credit officer position for Susquehanna Bank after serving as an executive vice president and manager of commercial bank lending.

Susquehanna Bancshares Inc. trades on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol SUSQ.
