The Hershey Co. today announced it has launched a new spreads product line with three flavors, similar to competitors such as Nutella.
The Dauphin County-based company's Hershey's Spreads will come in chocolate, chocolate with almond and chocolate with hazelnut, according to a news release. The spreads are available nationwide in 13-ounce jars.
The candy giant has been on a path of new markets and products since it set revenue goals of $10 billion by 2017, a 54 percent increase from 2012 levels. That has also launched the company into acquisitions such as buying out its joint-venture partners in India and acquiring a Chinese company last month.
