An international trade conference designed for businesses considering entering international markets for the first time or expanding their existing international markets has been scheduled for Jan. 28 in Lancaster.
Organizers say more than 16 international companies, including some from Colombia, Mexico and Brazil, are currently registered, as are more than 20 from this region. The event will feature sessions on the theme "International Trade & Cross-Cultural Differences: The Monster in the Boardroom," as well as an interactive cross-cultural business negotiation activity and networking opportunities.
Industries represented by the expected international companies include processed foods, franchises, information technology and software, finance and investment, environmental and recycling, scrap metal, precast concrete and construction, precious stones, communications, 3-D sublimation technology, agriculture, energy, tourism, and health care tourism.
Presented by MIC International Trade Consulting Inc., the conference will be 8 a.m. to noon at the Best Western Premier Eden Resort, 222 Eden Road, Lancaster. There is a cost, and advance reservations are recommended; they may be obtained here.
