Lancaster cracked the top 10 list for most exciting small cities, according to the Movoto Real Estate Blog.
The Red Rose City came in at No. 4 on the list.
Movoto's criteria included nightlife per capita, live music venues per capita, active life options per capita, fast-food restaurants per capita (the fewer the better), percentages of restaurants that are fast food (the lower the better) and percentage of residents ages 20 to 34 (the higher the better).
Small cities include those with populations between 50,000 and 60,000 residents.
Lancaster's nightlife was an asset, ranking seventh overall. The city also did well in the restaurant category for its limited number of fast-food establishments, and its number of young people. The latter was 27 percent.
