A new Pet Food Experts Inc. facility in East Cocalico Township, Lancaster County, will employ 120 people, doubling its current workforce, according to a news release.
Gov. Tom Corbett announced today that the Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority will provide a $2,000,000, 15-year, low-interest loan at 2.5 percent to the York County Economic Development Corporation on behalf of the company.
Pet Food Experts is a distributor of pet food and supplies to independent retailers. The new 197,000-square-foot facility will be 18 miles away from its current operations, and the company will invest more than $12 million in the project. Half of the positions will be newly created and half will be retained.
PIDA is an independent authority staffed and regulated through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
