Judge dismisses Hersha Hospitality founder's lawsuit over Hilton Harrisburg sale

By

A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit from Hasu Shah, founder of Harrisburg-based Hersha Hospitality Trust, over the 2012 sale of the Hilton Harrisburg to Colorado-based Greenwood Hospitality Group.

In his 2012 filing, Shah claimed the sale was fixed. He alleged that Bill Kohl, the former president and CEO of Harrisburg Hotel Corp. and current Greenwood partner, used his position to keep the Hilton off the market.

U.S. Middle District Chief Judge Christopher C. Conner gave Shah the option of filing an amended complaint in the matter.
