Lancaster County-based law firm Barley Snyder LLP has named Jeff Lobach managing partner to succeed Timothy Dietrich, who has served in the role since 2008.

Lobach, a Barley Snyder partner, assumes the leadership role to oversee the firm's operations and long-term planning at the start of next year.

Lobach has worked at Barley Snyder for 30 years, including at a firm that became part of Barley Snyder, and received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1981.

His practice is focused on business and real estate transactions, the formation and governance of businesses and nonprofits, real estate development, financing, family-owned businesses and higher education.

Lobach said his selection was "unplanned but not unwelcome" and he is excited about continuing to grow the firm and its relationships with clients.

Barley Snyder has more than 60 attorneys and five offices in Central and Eastern Pennsylvania, including in the Hanover, York and Lancaster markets.
