In other parts of the world, protesters block gas sites
File this one under “It could be worse.”
Chevron has launched a civil lawsuit against protesters in Poland who it says are blocking the company from reaching a site where it wants to explore for shale gas.
The report, by Reuters and posted by the Chicago Tribune, also says Chevron had to suspend work in Romania because locals blocked the site.
Kind of makes the public policy debates here stateside look quite tame.
But, I'll add, there are local implications here. If these resources in parts of Europe come under full development, they'll need professional services firms to help with the work.
And where are there firms who have developed shale-related specialties? Here.
