Home sales rise in York, Adams counties in October

Home sales rose in York and Adams counties last month compared with October 2012, according to the Realtors Association of York & Adams Counties Inc.

York County sales went up about 4 percent to 343 homes and the median sales price fell by about 4 percent to $141,500, according to the association.

In Adams County, both measures rose. Sales were up about 8 percent to 71 homes and the median sales price went up about 2 percent to $168,000, the association said.

Through October, homes sold in York and Adams counties are respectively up about 14 percent and about 35 percent compared with the same period last year, according to RAYAC.

The median sales price is up in York County by about 2 percent and the price is down in Adams County by about 2 percent through the first 10 months of the year, RAYAC said.
