Betsy's Bakery, a gluten-free bakery and restaurant that also serves vegan options, is expanding across the river into Harrisburg.

The owners of the Hampden Township establishment, Betsy and Shannon Peffley, are planning to open a second location at 240 N. Third St., across from the state Capitol complex, early next week.

The anticipated opening is Tuesday.

Betsy’s, which opened last July at 115 St. John’s Church Road, bakes 100 percent gluten-free products. Offerings include fresh cakes with homemade buttercream icing, cupcakes, cookies, brownies, breads, rolls and more.

The menu also includes a variety of gluten-free and vegan breakfast and lunch items.

Betsy’s Harrisburg hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
