National employee benefits company Digital Benefit Advisors is now offering its Digital Benefits Marketplace to Pennsylvania businesses.
The private health insurance exchange uses a defined-contribution model to businesses of any size. Options include ancillary and voluntary products and services including life, disability, accident, critical illness, long-term care, dental and vision insurance.
The exchange is currently available in about a dozen other states — Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia and Washington, D.C. — and Digital says it anticipates rapid expansion. So far, more than 100 businesses representing 10,000 members have enrolled nationally.
Mike Sullivan, Digital's executive vice president and chief marketing officer, said in a news release that demand is outpacing the company's expectations.
"The majority of companies that have signed on to our exchange are new customers to Digital," he said.
The company is a division of Digital Insurance.
