EIA reports, data releases cease amid continued government shutdown

By

The release of reports and data by the U.S. Energy Information Administration have become the latest casualty of the partial government shutdown this month, according to a statement on the agency’s website.

Updates ceased Friday afternoon because of lapsed federal appropriations. Databases also might not be available, according to the statement.

The EIA is charged with collecting, analyzing and releasing energy information that is independent and impartial for sound policymaking and efficient markets.
