Engle buys Lancaster County Magazine

Mount Joy Township-based Engle Printing & Publishing Co. Inc. has purchased Lancaster County Magazine from Lancaster-based Brookshire Printing Inc., the company announced on Monday.

Terms of the sale were not disclosed.

Lancaster County Magazine describes itself as a monthly publication that celebrates the people, scenery, heritage, style and point of view of Lancaster County. It is distributed throughout the county by paid subscription and on newsstands.

Engle publishes the Merchandiser, PennySaver, Advertiser and Community Courier newspapers, which go out to 19 communities weekly. The company also has 12 specialty publications that cover a variety of interests, including automotive and recreational vehicles, dining and entertainment, lodging and travel, antiques and wedding planning.

Its community newspapers reach more than 421,900 homes in Central Pennsylvania, according to its website.

Engle also supports other publishers as a full-service printing company.
