Listrak names former Clipper Magazine exec as president

Fast-growing Lititz-based digital marketing solutions provider Listrak has appointed Ben Smith to the newly formed role of president.

Smith moves to Listrak from Lancaster-based Clipper Magazine, where he held several roles during nearly 20 years, including assistant sales manager, director of operations and, since 2006, vice president of art production. In that role, Smith has overseen the production process of more than 300 local editions and managed a staff of 250.

As president at Listrak, Smith will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and planning for strategic growth along with other members of the leadership team -- company co-founders Ross and Howard Kramer, who serve as CEO and COO, respectively.

Listrak has put together a powerful core business that is positioned to excel moving forward," Smith said in a news release. "The company has put together a great team and I look forward to working with them all to enhance and promote our brand."

"I am confident that he will help take the company to the next level, while allowing me to focus on product innovation at a time when technology is moving at such a rapid pace. With Ben on board, I will be able to devote attention to aligning Listrak's products and services to meet the unique needs of omnichannel retailers to deliver a consistent, relevant and personalized experience across all consumer touchpoints."

Listrak was recently named to the Business Journal's list of Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies for the third time since it was founded in 1999. According to a news release, its revenues grew 45 percent in 2012. With more than a decade of email marketing experience, Listrak works with U.S. online retailers including Deb Shops, Waterford, Ten Thousand Villages, Swell, Vintage Tub and La-Z-boy.

Smith, a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College, lives in Lancaster with his wife, Beth Smith.
