By ,

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has posted a list of premiums for the health insurance plans offered in the 36 states where it is facilitating the new Obamacare marketplaces, which opened yesterday.

The list, broken down by county, details presubsidy premiums for six classes of people: single 27-year-old; single 50-year-old; family of two 30-year-old adults and two children; single-parent family of one 30-year-old adult and two children; two 40-year-old adults; and one child of any age.

The total of all plans offered across the Business Journal's five-county primary coverage area — Cumberland, Dauphin, Lancaster, Lebanon and York — is 278. The issuer names are Capital BlueCross, Geisinger Health Plans, HealthAmericaOne, Highmark Health Insurance Co., Highmark Health Services and Keystone Health Plan Central (a Capital BlueCross company). Seventy of the plans are HMOs; 68 are POS; and 140 are PPOs.

The list does not include vital plan details such as deductibles and networks.

A separate list details local premium rates for the Small-business Health Options Program. There are 202 plans, of which 20 are EPOs; 9 are HMOs; 83 are POS; and 90 are PPOs.
