After graduating from Villanova University, John A. Bassounas had offers from advertising agencies in New York City, but he chose to come back to Harrisburg, believing that great work could and should be done in his hometown. After pursuing Pavone, Bassounas was brought on board in 1999, and he quickly rose through the organization to become head of client services.
Last year, he became one of the firm's three partners and the youngest director at the company, managing the organization's account services department and overseeing strategy across advertising, public relations, digital media and mobile marketing. His leadership roles have helped turn Pavone into a top integrated marketing agency.
Bassounas' leadership doesn't stop with the business, as he has been a major driver in the company's efforts to support charities and local causes through pro bono work, donated time and charitable giving. This has included work for the Greater Harrisburg Foundation, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, Uplifting Athletes, the Harrisburg YWCA and Caitlin's Smiles.
