Jeremy R. DeBord, a licensed funeral director and certified crematory operator, is general manager of Kearney A. Snyder Funeral Home, where he is responsible and accountable for all of the funeral home's activities. Recently, DeBord was also selected to attend a seminar at Harvard University showcasing 50 of the up-and-coming funeral directors under the age of 40.
Prior to joining his family's funeral home business, DeBord made his mark in the corporate world at Volvo Construction Equipment. In three years, he was awarded three promotions, including positions of product marketing manager and concluding as regional sales manager. Then DeBord's entrepreneurial drive surfaced and he decided to move back to Lancaster with the intention of purchasing the family business.
DeBord is involved in a variety of community activities, including Rotary Club of Lancaster, the Fulton Opera House Capital Campaign and the Hospice & Community Care Public Relations and Marketing Committee.
