Ali K. Detar has been on the front lines of marketing and communications for Gannett Fleming since 2005, currently leading strategic marketing direction for the firm's International Division. As a quiet trailblazer, she has accomplished many initiatives that have generated significant results for both Gannett Fleming and in her previous role as Allegheny County's communications director.
Detar has executed the most comprehensive rebrand of Gannett Fleming in the company's nearly 100-year history, and she has launched the firm's first corporate magazine, the award-winning Forces of Change.
Outside of Gannett Fleming, Detar is committed to advancing the marketing profession as an Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) roundtable leader and a mentor for the Central PA Chapter of SMPS to coach other professionals in obtaining Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) accreditation. Detar is an eight-year member of the Junior League of Harrisburg, serving as chair of its Grants Committee and "Run for the Health of It" campaign.
