A former car dealership on the Carlisle Pike will become Harrisburg-based Appalachian Brewing Co.'s seventh brewpub and grill and could open either before the end of the year or in early 2014, the company said.

ABC acquired the 26,000-square-foot property at 6462 Carlisle Pike in Silver Spring Township at the end of September and will begin renovations this month. Similar to its other locations, the new Mechanicsburg brewpub and grill will have a full menu with brew signature and specialty beers onsite, it said.

“The demand for our local craft beer and soda has experienced phenomenal growth. As a result, we’re growing, too,” Director of Operations Artie Tafoya said in a statement. “The addition of this new brewpub will allow us to serve more of our western Cumberland County customers in a convenient location with ample parking.”

The location is formerly the Sutliff Cadillac Saab dealership. Sutliff Auto Group relocated the dealership to 6643 Carlisle Pike in March 2012.

ABC’s new location will be its second Cumberland County brewpub, the first being at 3721 Market St., Camp Hill.
